It’s never too early to start thinking about Beaufort’s signature summer event, The Beaufort Water Festival.
Water Festival organizers have updated their website with some information on the 2011 installment of the annual party, which this year runs from July 15 through July 24.
If you’re planning on attending the events from out of town it’s better to get an early beat on booking a hotel for downtown. City Loft Hotel would love to be able to give you a great Water Festival rate and show you just what makes Beaufort, SC so wonderful.

We here at City Java & News and City Loft are extremely excited that the Beaufort International Film Festival is again upon on.
We’re looking forward to all of the visitors who will be joining us both in the Loft and at the coffee shop.
Good luck to all involved and please let us know if we can do anything to make your stay in Beaufort better.
Same goes for those who will be watching all the films. If you need a little pick-me-up between shows, stop on over at the shop and let us serve up a shot of espresso for you.

So by now you’ve probably heard the buzz about Lowcountry Produce’s fantastic Sweet Potato Butter making the “The O List” in the December issue of Oprah Magazine.
The folks over at TheDigitel Beaufort said, “I’m sure it has nothing to do with tasting like a combo between apple butter, sweet potato pie, and butter — and being fat free.”
Read all about the news here, and then come try it at the coffee shop on a fresh biscuit — or buy a jar for $6.95 to take home — not only can you not buy it cheaper at the main store, you flat out can’t buy it there as they’ve sold out! But we’ve got some with your name on it.

Late art at City Java in Beaufort
Heather Bragg snapped this shot at our coffee shop, City Java, and wrote “Oh … City Java how I love thee. Let me count the ways.”
It’s amazing how much having a great coffee and lunch spot can do to turn a hotel stay from good into great.
